It’s not so bad.

NYSC camp? It’s not that bad.

I know I’ve never heard anything good about NYSC camp so concluding that it’s not so bad surprises me too.

A’ight, let me back up. I was deployed to Kwara (yes, I wanted Kwara), and because it’s Kwara, the camp is large.

Why I do not think it’s so bad here probably has more to do with two things:

  • I’ve seen worse

ㅤNYSC > Sea school

  • Being adaptable

ㅤIt’s not my home so why should I expect some comforts, and then complain when said expectations are not met?

As for the unending marching, it’s tiring but on the bright side, I’m continuously hitting my steps goal.

The point is I stay choosing my thoughts and reactions because I do not want to be miserable. You might say I’m denying reality or I’m being unreasonably optimistic.

Whatever analysis you come up with, I’ll be at camp not wallowing in misery, unending complaints, and just bad energy. But am I counting down the days to go home? Yes, yes I am.

Word of Advice: If you can ditch camp, do it! There are better things to experience.

Stay manipulating your brain,
