+ Garbage In, Garbage Out

— From Dayo, as she experiences and learns. Welcome to The Mind Palace!

Last week, I was diagnosed with astigmatism. Now, I’m getting glasses. In a simple description, light does not bend right across my eyes because they have been shaped wrong, due to excessive straining.

But what makes this sadder is that, in addition, my ears have been blocked all week. I found it hard to hear. For the first time in my life, I did not forget to take my meds! Guess no one needs to tell me to act right so I don’t get blind, deaf or both.

Anyway, this is not a sobfest so the moral lesson here is to buy hard-copy books. Oh, and to remind yourself of any repercussions if you don’t act right. Due diligence, my friend.

P.S. Something I’ve realized with writing these stories is that if I don’t take in good content, I’ll find it hard to think about or publish good enough stuff. Basically, garbage in, garbage out.

Onto the book club now, habibi 🤓

Bye for now,

Dayo
